Review back to the Hijrah Moment in around 578Masehi, which is about of our prophet, Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. decision to move out from Mekah to Madinah town is one of the prominent factors of the Islam civilization success in this world. The Hijrah history also educate us the important to equip our self with enough preparation to face uncertainty so that we can keep towards success rather than failure in the future. The beauty and biggest scarify of Muhajirin and Ansar people towards the Hijrah Moment is also show us the important of unity among the ummah. There is no real truth scarify without bless from Him. Menyingkap kembali peristiwa Hijrah atau perpindahan Rasulullah s.a.w. dari kota Mekah ke kota Madinah adalah merupakan satu titik sejarah yang amat besar ertinya ke atas perkembangan Islam di muka bumi ini. Peristiwa Hijrah juga mengajar kita supaya bersedia menghadapi sebarang cabaran atau kemungkinan, dan terus berusaha supaya berada dalam kemajuan daripada kemunduran. Peristiwa Hijrah juga menyingkap semangat pengorbanan yang tinggi di kalangan umatnya apabila sejarah kaum Muhajirin dan Ansar bersatu pada ketika itu. Tiada perjuangan yang lurus melainkan dilengkapkan dengan kemuliaan. Tiada pengorbanan yang hakiki melainkan dengan keredhaan-Nya! Semoga perjuangan kita akan sentiasa diberkati dan dilindungiNya!!! Lightning Protection System / Sistem Pertahanan Petir dan Kilat

The main objective of the lightning protection system evidence is to reduce the probability of a direct lightning strike to the building structure and the electrical equipment. The Lightning Protection System will provide an alternative way for the unintended lightning current to flow directly to the ground through the down conductor, once the air terminal has been struck by the lightning strike phenomena. There are a lot of the consequences that are undesired by us that may happen according to the phenomena, such as, fire, the structure damage, failure of telecommunication system device, risk to proper function of power system network, loss of life and electrical equipment damage.

To avoid all those undesired accidents from happen, a proper design of lightning protection need to be installed as the alternative for the lightning to strike and also for the unintended current to be ground to earth directly without any direct or indirect effect. To build the basic understanding of lightning protection, there are three main elements that need to be considered for investigation purpose, which are air terminal, down conductor and grounding. As a guide for a better understanding, the world standard of lightning protection guide need to be use, such as National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 780) and British Standard. Most of the country in this world will use these as their guide for them to set up their internal standard purpose.


Sistem Pertahanan Petir dan Kilat

Antara objektif utama wujudnya Sistem Pertahanan Petir dan Kilat adalah untuk mengurangkan kebarangkalian untuk sesebuah struktur bangunan itu di panah petir dan kilat. Sistem Pertahanan Petir dan Kilat ini direka khusus untuk menyediakan laluan alternatif bagi arus elektrik untuk mengalir secara terus ke bumi melalui konduktor yang direka khas apabila fenomena kilat dan petir itu terjadi. Terdapat banyak kejadian yang tidak diingini apabila kejadian petir dan kilat ini terjadi, antaranya; kebakaran, kerosakan pada struktur bangunan, kegagalan fungsi alat komunikasi, kegagalan fungsi kawalan system kuasa, kematian kepada hidupan dan kerosakan peralatan dan perkakasan elektrik di dalam mahupun diluar struktur bangunan.

Untuk mengelakkan kejadian-kejadian yang tidak diingini tadi terjadi, suatu sistem pertahanan petir dan kilat yang baik dan selamat harus dipasang pada struktur bangunan supaya apabila kejadian petir dan kilat ini terjadi, akan wujud laluan alternatif untuk arus elektrik yang wujud ekoran fenomena petir dan kilat terus ke bumi tanpa memberi sebarang kesan secara langsung atau pun kesan yang tidak langsung. Untuk membentuk kefahaman asas tentang sistem Pertahanan Petri dan Kilat ini, terdapat tiga element penting yang harus dikaji untuk proses mereka bentuk; iaitu terminal udara, konduktor aliran ke bawah dan sistem kebumian tanah. Sebagai rujukan untuk mebina kefahaman ini, rujukan perlu berteraskan kepada piawaian yang telah ditetapkan oleh National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 780) and British Standard. Hal yang demikian kerana, kebanyakan negara dalam dunia ini akan menjadikan piawaian ini sebagai rujukan untuk mereka menetapkan piawaian bagi kegunaan dalaman.

Kid Explorer's Nite @ Petrosains, 16-17 May '08

On 16 to 17 May 2008, the Kid Explorer's Nite or also known as KEN camp was organized by Petrosains with collaboration of PPMSB, Melaka. The event was participated by 40 kids from Sg Udang, Melaka. All of them were year 4 students. The prominent objective of the camp is to encourage the kids in their learning process of science and technologies subject in the school rather than to help them to improve their personal skills such as to build confident level, communication skills, time management and etc. The 2 days 1 nite event was held at Level 4, Petrosains.

On the first day, the participants have arrived at about 4.30pm, at the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). They were brought up to the level 4 for registration matters. During this, the luggage placement also were handled by the camp facilitators. Once the registration matters have done, the itenary were followed by light refreshment and safety briefing in the camp area by Science Facilitator, Kamarul Anuar.

Sharp at 6.00pm, all of them were start doing their activities. For the start, their were divided into several group which is Helang, Kenari, Merpati, Merak and Enggang. The first activities is Ice Breaking. In this session they were given a task which is will help them to improve their communication skills among their group members.Sharp at 8.00 pm, Opening Ceremony were took placed. The opening ceremony were done by the representative from PPMSB. During this event, all the science facilitators, camp facilitators, and also the camp coordinators were introduced to the participants.

Before the nyte end, the participants were really enjoyed all the activities that have arranged by the camp coordinators. The other activities that were particpated by them were Science Show : Soda Pop Show and Math Wizard by Science facilitator, Mr Fakrin, and also Science Chef Hour by Science Facilitator, Miss Nancy. Besides that, they were also were represented with a science theater before sleep by the group of camp facilitators. The role play is about the important of recycle in our world. If not, the global warming will happen drastically and will give a bad impacts to our nature.

On the second day, all the participants woke up early in the morning. At 6.00 am, they started walking to Masjid As-Syakirin, KLCC, pray Suboh pray. Once they done, the day was started with light exercise@Energizer. The camp activities continue with group activities at the KLCC Park, which is nearby Masjid As-Syakirin. At the park the event were presenter by again Science Facilitator,Kamarul Anuar. The Don`t Drop The Glob! and Water War Game were organized by the facilitators.

Before the camp end, the participants were given opportunity to have a visit to Skybridge at KLCC and have the tour visit to the Petrosains. From the faces of the students, i've noticed that, all of them were happy participating the camp event they started to get tired. The camp were ended with the Xplorer's Award Ceremony@Closing Ceremony and the Chill Out Lounge.

The event were successfully done with a great and marvelous preparation by the camp and science facilitators. The event objective were achieved for short determination because most of them were give a great thumb for the feedback. Well done to the camp coordinator to Miss Ummu and Miss Raja Damia for arranging the great camp flow. A big congratulation to science and camp facilitators because manage to ensure the camp flow were done in smooth way without any unexpected tragedy.
